How we handle your information.

We collect only the information needed to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver services and understand how our advertising performs.

Effective August 27, 2026

This policy explains how RiverCity Landscape & Irrigation (“RiverCity,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. It applies when you use this website, submit a website or Google advertising lead form, call or email us, request a quote, or become a customer.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

Information we collect

Depending on how you contact or work with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information, including your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Project information, including the property location, requested service, project description, photos, plans, site conditions, timing and budget information you choose to provide.
  • Customer and transaction records, including estimates, contracts, invoices, payments and project communications.
  • Website and advertising information, including IP address, browser or device information, referring page, pages visited, date and time, and advertising identifiers or campaign parameters such as a Google Click ID.

Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for your landscaping or irrigation enquiry.

How we use it

We use personal information only for reasonable business purposes, including to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange calls or site visits;
  • prepare estimates, proposals and project plans;
  • provide landscaping, irrigation and related services;
  • manage customer records, scheduling, billing, warranties and follow-up;
  • operate, secure and improve our website;

We obtain consent where required. You may withdraw consent for optional uses at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

Website data, Google Ads and cookies

Our website uses Google tags and similar technologies to understand whether advertising leads to website visits, calls or completed forms. These technologies may place or read cookies and collect device, browser, page-view and advertising information. Google handles information it receives under its own Privacy Policy.

If you submit a lead form directly through a Google ad, Google processes the information you enter before making the lead available to us. We use that information to respond to your request and for the purposes described in this policy.

You can limit cookies through your browser settings and manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. Blocking cookies may affect some website features and the accuracy of advertising measurement.

When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose limited information to:

  • service providers that support website hosting, form delivery, email, advertising, analytics, accounting or business administration;
  • employees, contractors, suppliers or professional advisers who need it to quote, schedule or complete your project;
  • government, regulatory, insurance or law-enforcement authorities when required or permitted by law; or
  • a successor organization in connection with a legitimate business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Our website enquiry form is transmitted using FormSubmit, and our advertising measurement and Google lead forms use Google services. Some providers may process or store information outside British Columbia or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

Retention and safeguards

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and to meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance and warranty obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or anonymize it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No website, email system or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent for an optional use, or ask a question about our privacy practices. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and applicable law may permit or require us to withhold certain information.

This website is intended for adults seeking landscaping and irrigation services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Our website may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change; the effective date at the top will show the latest revision.
