Driveway construction needs to match vehicle loading, subgrade, drainage, slope and the selected finish. The visible surface is only as reliable as the excavation and base below it.
Subgrade condition
Soft, organic or wet material may require additional excavation, separation fabric or stabilization before aggregate placement.
Drainage and slope
The finished surface must shed water without directing it toward buildings, neighbouring properties or unstable edges.
Tie-ins and edges
Road connections, garages, walkways, gates, walls and landscape grades are coordinated to avoid abrupt transitions.
